Lazy updates

This week is a strange week. Many famous people passed away. Farrah Fawcit, Michael Jackson, and Billy Mays (OxiClean Man). MJ and BM were only 50.
If my parents were to pass away at 50, my brother will only be 10, that would be very sad. 50, thats only half of the 100 years that we aim to live for. Life suddenly seems so ephemeral again after these recent deaths.

.. .. .. and this is why I don't dream

After reading Marnie's entry here, I became inspired to write about my dream this morning.

So I had a dream between the first time I woke up and the second time I woke up today (I managed to do so before noon. Be proud of me)

So a little background: the house I live in has rats in the basement. My friend used to live in the basement and got scared of the rats. I live on the third floor, I doubt rats would have the claw strength to muscle its way up. I went rock climbing the other day, it was fun, but I digress.

Anyway, in my dream, I slept on a bed that was like the older chinese beds with a raised frame and a pretty thin mattress, so there was ample room to duck underneath the bed. Instead of resting on floor, my bed was on like, hard dirt or something. There was like, misc debris and stuff, much like the top soil in a forest. But it wasn't soft, so my bed was level and didn't sink in to the ground.

Somehow, I managed to observe a rat in the corner of my room. I remember thinking: how did it get up here? It's third floor! I tried to kill it by dropping the intro to calculus book on top of it and leaving it there for like a minute or so. But when I lifted the book up, it was still alive, and ran underneath my desk. So, I decided to drop the book on it again, except the book would never land flat, so the rat always had a chance to duck away. After like, many tries, I managed to kill it. Then I don't remember how the corpse was gotten rid of.

Now that the rat was killed, I looked underneath my desk and saw 2 more rats. One was as big as a hamster with a brown/yellowy coat. The other with like a small mouse with a brown/gray coat. I tried to drop my book on top of the small mouse, but it ran out in the open. So I dropped my book on it once it stopped running. Then I went to look at the bigger rat. It was between some sort of blocky obstacle and a juice box. So I tried to drop another book on its head. Then I went back to look at the smaller rat. I noticed that when I lifted the book on top of it, it started running away. I was really confused cuz it made a shuffling sound. When I looked closer, I realized that I managed to chop the rat in half, and the cross section looked vaguely like some sort of ham with a hole through it that was dripping blood. It then ran underneath my bed. I lifted up the bed sheet looked, (amazed that the floor underneath the bed was so dirty) and it was trying to eat another rat that was already dead. It balanced on its chopped off abdomen and lifted the stiff rat corpse to its mouth. I was grossed out and tried to drop a book on it. This time, it died cuz I squished it really bad. Although I never actually saw the corpse cuz I just kept the book on top.

Back to the big hamster rat. Somehow, I noticed that it's not actually wedged between two things. Rather, it was just too lazy to move. So I nudged the juice box closer to try to squeeze it, but the rat just took a couple of steps outward. It's still "wedged" between, but only half way. Then I tried to drop a book on it again. Somehow, I felt that it was no longer a threat, so I was looking for a way to dispose of the dead rats. I contemplated on asking my landlord's dad, but I spent a long time wondering what I should call him… 大伯?爷爷?I couldn't make up my mind.

Then I woke up….

Massive reformatting, ick

I hate reformatting. Had to do it this time because I thought my NIC card was broken…. Turns out it wasn’t *sigh*

Now I discovered that Microsoft managed to come up with a new version of Messenger (ugly interface…..) and something called Writer. So… I’m trying it out. Hopefully I’ll manage to update my blog more often (I’m not holding my breath)

urgh

I can't believe I completely ignored question 4 out of 4 questions on the biochem exam. It was so easy too. Urgh! *sigh*
I wanna know how I did.
I can't believe I spent so long on question 1, which is worth half as much as question 4. I can't believe I didn't realize there was a question4. For some strange reason, I thought the exam stopped at question 3. I could've gotten at least another 2 easy marks from question 4.... dammit
